The manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, wished success to Jamie Vardi in Leicester.
The British national was among the transfer targets of the Gooners, but he decided to stay at the King Power Stadium and yesterday officially renewed his contract with the Foxes for other four years.
`I several times mentioned that he will remain in Leicester. Yes, we were interested in his services, but he took another decision, which considered the best for himself. This is his choice, we respect it and wish him good luck.`, said Wenger.
Before he renewed his contract, Arsenal activated a liberating clause of Vardi worth ? 20 million, but he didn`t want to go in the Gooners.
So Arsenal will be looking for a new striker to compete with Olivier Giroux and DannyHouellebecq. Among the names is that of Alvaro Morata, who a few days ago formally returned to Real Madrid.

Croatian national may not stay at Fiorentina
The Croatian national Milan Badel currently picks the fruits of the strong representation of UEFA EURO 2016. His agent said that the likelihood that his client to stay in Fiorentina, is 90 percent, because negotiations are ongoing with several other clubs.
The 27-year-old midfielder is one of supporting the Croatian players who impress with their game by confident tips in France. Logically, the interest in him is great, and it seems that Fiorentina will have to seek a replacement for the next season.
`AC Milan still 2 years on his contract with Fiorentina, so the decision whether he will stay or not is entirely up to the club.`, said his agent Dea Joksimovic. `There`s no rush, and his price is certainly not going to drop next month. However, it is 90 percent sure that he won`t sign a new contract with Fiorentina.`
`The main reason for this is that Milan wants to play in the Champions League. There are a few clubs that have shown interest and offered financial conditions that are far more challenging and robust compared to those of Fiorentina. Let`s see how events will develop.`, added Joksimovic.
