Belinda Bencic from Switzerland won the first title of her career. The 18-year-old won the final by confident picks of the tournament on grass in Eastbourne, UK against Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland with 6:4, 4:6, 6:0 after more than two hours on court.
In the first part, the two players exchanged some breakthroughs in the seventh and eighth game, but Bencic was able to make another break for 5:4 and then served to win the set. Radwanska saved the first opportunity of the opponent, but in the second ,Bencic won the set.
In the second set, the Polish led with 3:0, but the 18-year-old Belinda tied at 3:3. In the ninth game, Bencic reached a break point, but Aga returned it and won a submission for 5:4. In the next game, Radwanska reached a set-ball and managed to realize it after a ball out of the opponent.
The young girl from Switzerland started with a breakthrough, which was confirmed. Immediately afterwards, she made a second break and pulled with 3:0. Agnieszka literally collapsed. At 5:0, Belinda served for the title. She led with 40:0 and realized the first championship point.
Bencic ran to her staff and received congratulations from the legendary Martina Hingis. The winner works with Martina`s mother Melanie Molitor.
