The coach of Alaves Mauricio Pellegrino admitted he is extremely grateful to his colleague from Barcelona, Luis Enrique, who left the Catalans colossus after the match for the Cup of Spain between both teams on Saturday.
The two were teammates at the stadium Camp Nou during the 1998/99 season, when under the leadership of Louis van Gaal the team won the title in La Liga.
`Luis Enrique helped me a lot at Barcelona and I admire him. His period at the helm of the club was very successful.`, said Pellegrino.
`Barcelona changed a lot compared to the time in which we were there as football players. They are living their golden age. Barca is the team you can admire because of all these successes. They have a football identity. Barcelona has been doing perfectly over the last twenty years.`, said the expert.
