Greece`s central defender Kostas Manolas signed a new treaty with Roma, the official site of the wolves of Rome announced. The new contract will hold Manolas in the Eternal City Club until 2022. The current contract of the Greek footballer with the Jaloros ran in 2019.
Manolas is part of the Roma squad in the summer of 2014 after a transfer from Olympiacos and has more than 100 matches and four goals for the wolves in Serie A.
I am very happy to have this extension of the contract. I wanted to stay, the club wanted to stay and we were able to get along. I am ready to do the best I can, as I have for this team. I want to win something with this club, 26-year-old Manolas told Roma`s official website.
We are very pleased with the continuation of the contract. Both the player and the club wanted to reach a consensus and we will now move forward together, pursuing important goals, commented also the sports director of the jalousans Monchi. According to unofficial information, the annual salary of the Greek national is already EUR 3 million, and a new EUR 37 million clause is included in the new contract, which will most likely only apply to clubs according contacts with football tips outside of Serie A.
