I think they [McLaren] deserve to have both drivers on the podium. I felt like the first half of the race was going really well for us and then the safety car came out of nowhere.

Overall, I have mixed emotions, but obviously it`s a great day for the whole team, winning on pace. Luck helped a little, but in the end we had the pace. Very, very inspiring for future racing.

I had a little difficulty with hard and got into traffic. I didn`t quite have the same pace as on the medium. But I think it`s an inspiring day anyway. If we had made a pit stop with Lando, who knows what would have happened? But I think the podium was achievable today, " says Piastri.
